Adrina McCreary

Operations Manager/CPT, Dimensional Movement Specialist, Certified Trigger Point Foam Rolling Instructor

From childhood Adrina has always been physically active. Whether it was building an obstacle course with toys in the backyard or racing up the block with her siblings, Adrina has always possessed a sense of self-competitiveness and drive. The “FGLG” motto, “feel good, look good”, has been instilled in Adrina from a young age. So, it was only natural that as she matured, staying strong, fit and healthy remained a priority.

Adrina competed in track & field throughout high school and she continues to run many races and 1/2 marathons on the East and West coast as well as Canada. Everyone thinks Adrina naturally enjoys running, but it’s really the challenge that she loves. On her first 1/2 marathon, she fainted 1 mile away from the finish line. She was devastated, as she had trained so hard. In the hospital, she was diagnosed with Rhabdomialaysus. Guess what, she signed up for he next race right then, determined to not be defeated by the challenge.

Today Adrina enjoys encouraging people and showing them they don’t have to let weight or health issues defeat them. She gets so much joy out of helping others reach the physical goals they once believed they could not reach.

Adrina’s motivation is living a healthy and fit lifestyle while helping as many people as possible reach the same goals.

Life Motto: “Never try quitting and never quit trying because giving up is never be an option.”

Training Motto: “Your body achieves what your mind believes.”

If you love yourself, what you do and surround yourself with those who love you, you will be filled with continuous happiness and joy.

Shawn Powell

CPT, Dimensional Movement Specialist

Shawn grew up with a heart murmur and was plagued by unexplainable migraines as a child.  Because of this, his mother didn’t allow him to play outside in the hot weather, so Shawn’s bedroom and living room became his playground.  It was inside those rooms that he started doing push-ups everyday.  This was the starting point for a life-long love of fitness and bettering himself.

At 12 years, Shawn became involved in his first sport, wrestling at Westbury Middle School.  There he would break every record and was scouted for scholarships. Shawn would quit wrestling to play basketball and football at Westbury Middle School.

Shawn’s first introduction to weight lifting was at 13 years old at football practice.  While learning boxing & martial arts, unknown to his mother, he kept lifting weights.  Learning how amazing the body could be, work & evolve, he started going to Westbury Community Center to workout and has never looked back.

Training Motto: The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential, these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.

Life Motto: Infuse your life with action, don’t wait for IT to happen, make it happen! Make your own future.  Make your own hope.  Make your own love.  Whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but doing what you can to make grace happen.  Yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.

Silly Fun/Facts: Shawn loves to write poetry, play handball, and study religion and historical events.  He also loves to cook and makes a mean baked fish with lemons, onions, green, yellow and red peppers served over seasoned rice with fried cabbage. Shawn also loves action movies and listening to music from the best decade EVER – the 70s.

Favorite foods: Mac & cheese with BBQ fried chicken.  Dessert, cheesecake!
