Shawn grew up with a heart murmur and was plagued by unexplainable migraines as a child. Because of this, his mother didn’t allow him to play outside in the hot weather, so Shawn’s bedroom and living room became his playground. It was inside those rooms that he started doing push-ups everyday. This was the starting point for a life-long love of fitness and bettering himself.
At 12 years, Shawn became involved in his first sport, wrestling at Westbury Middle School. There he would break every record and was scouted for scholarships. Shawn would quit wrestling to play basketball and football at Westbury Middle School.
Shawn’s first introduction to weight lifting was at 13 years old at football practice. While learning boxing & martial arts, unknown to his mother, he kept lifting weights. Learning how amazing the body could be, work & evolve, he started going to Westbury Community Center to workout and has never looked back.
Training Motto: The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential, these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.

Whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but doing what you can to make grace happen. Yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.
Silly Fun/Facts: Shawn loves to write poetry, play handball, and study religion and historical events. He also loves to cook and makes a mean baked fish with lemons, onions, green, yellow and red peppers served over seasoned rice with fried cabbage.
